Here is the itinerary of a self drive tour will help people in exploring the beauty of the Western Sahara desert. It will also help people in exploring other popular tourist destinations in the cities of Cairo, Aswan and Luxor.

Tour Duration - 10 Days / 9 Nights

Day 1 : Arrival in the city of Cairo, Egypt

The tour starts with the guests arriving at the city of Cairo, which is the capital of Egypt. You will check-in to a hotel, where you will spend the night.

Day 2: Siwa Oasis

On the 3rd day, you will explore the famous WW2 Battlefield at El Alamein after breakfast. You will then drive toward El Alamein in an air-conditioned private vehicle. You can also drive to marsa Matrouh to enjoy the beauty of the Mediterranean Coast, after that you will also explore Siwa. In Siwa, you will check into a hotel for night stay.

Day 3: Siwa

After your breakfast at the hotel, you will explore the tourist attractions in Siwa and its surroundings such as Temple of Alexander, Temple of Amun Re, Cleopatra Spring etc. You will then get to explore the mountains of Dakrour and will also travel to the Island of Fitnas to enjoy the sunset there.

Day 4: Bahariya Oasis

After breakfast, you will go on a 6 hour long journey to Bahariya Oasis. You will spend the night there.

Day 5: Exploring Bahariya

On the 5th day, after your breakfast at the hotel, you will explore the tourist attractions in Bahariya and its surroundings such as the Tombs of the Nobles, Museum of Golden Mummies, Alexander Temple, and the Ain Meffetla Temples.

You will then drive to White Desert in the Western Sahara region. The next destination will be El Haize Valley, via the Black Desert. In the evening, you will be back to the White Desert for dinner, overnight camping.

Day 6: Farafra/Dakhla Oasis

On the 6th day, you will be taken to Farafra Oasis and on the way you can enjoy the hot springs at Bir Setah and the mud-brick museum of Badr. After that, you will start a 3 hour journey to Dakhla, where you will explore the temple of Deir Al Hagar, Mezzawaqqa, and the Al Qasr Islamic Village. The night will be spent at Dakhla Oasis.

Day 7: Kharga Oasis

After breakfast, you will travel towards Kharga Oasis and there you will visit Qasr al Labkha, a Roman fortress. Other attractions that you will explore there include the Christian Cemetery, ethnic museum, chapels and so on. The night will be spent in Kharga.

Day 8: Travel to Luxor

After breakfast, you will start your 6 hour long journey to the city of Luxor. The night will be spent in a hotel there.

Day 9: Sightseeing in Luxor

After breakfast morning you will travel to the famous Valley of the Kings where you will encounter ancient Egyptian architecture and the tombs of the pharaohs of ancient Egypt.

You will then leave for Cairo and spend the night there.

Day 10: Departure

After completing your breakfast, you will be taken to the Cairo International Airport from where you will travel back to your country of residence.
