Things to do in Ndola

One thing you will notice about the town is that it has very little in terms of attractions. The entire area is dedicated to the mining and smelting of copper, which makes it a highly commercial area. However, there are still some things you can do around the city for fun.

  • Nsebe national park - this park stretches in an entire 1500 ha area and is located next to the Nsebe tourist resort. Everything about this area is simply amazing, from the tastefully designed resort with lots of amenities for a day spent in the park viewing the lovely scenery with wildlife breeding in it. More activities to indulge within the resort include fishing, camping and sampling some of the local ravishing meals.
  • The City’s restaurants - another way to escape the buzz of the city is tracking down the best eateries within the areas. It’s not just about the food, the interior designs of most restaurants ooze of the Italian Quattrocento décor. There are paintings on the walls as well, though they are imitations of some great Italian artists like Michelangelo. The menu consist mostly of Italian dishes, so yes, you can definitely nibble at a juicy chuck of Pizza while enjoying the African atmosphere.
  • The street markets - Ndola may be a copper crazed town, but you will be surprised at how well the market shops are stocked. One thing you will discover is the town stocks lots of stuff from South Africa; so it will be the finest products from clothing to wine bottles.

Your stay in Ndola doesn’t have to be a dull one when you have a car rental at your disposal. Take a drive through the town and you will be surprised by how much you discover.
