- Musée du Panthéon National Haïtien - this is a place where the country’s history is preserved and guided tours are offered for as low as a dollar. You will be able to see history of evolution from one stage to another in a systematic way.
- Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption - apart from prayers, this church has become a key attraction that draws tourists to Haiti all year round. Pick a hired car at Port Au Prince Airport and head straight there. It is the biggest cathedral around and has a lot of activities going on daily like prayers and funeral services.
- The National Palace - this palace collapsed when it was hit by an earthquake and the remains offer a painful reminder of those events. On your way from airport, you can stop by and enjoy what other visitors enjoy.
