Metz train station is the main terminal serving the city of Metz, France. In some scripts is often referred to as the “Station Palace”, since it houses the Kaiser Wilhelm II.   • Fort Diou - This was formerly a base for military training. The sight is significant due to the trail that passes through the fort. You can come here for a hiking excursion. In addition, it provides a higher point from where you can view the city of Metz.
  • Parc du Lac aux Cygnes - This picturesque spot is a nice place to bring over your kids and let them feed the birds. It is not only for the kids but also for adults. It is at this juncture where River Moselle divides into several streams. You can take a river walk and enjoy a serene moment away from the city. If you rent a car you can spend the whole day with the family around the place and in the evening get back to your hotel.
  • Centre Ville district - Around Metz train station, you will find yellowish limestone architecture, which is characteristic of the city. Then drive to Notre-Dame de l’Assomption, on the Rue de la Chevre that has many paintings, statues and murals.
